If this is your first appointment or you are transferring to Valor Wellness, please bring: A copy of your summary of assessment. You can pick up these documents in person at any VAC office (Restigouche Rd, Oromocto area), phone 1-866-522-2122 or use MyVAC to request they be mailed out to you.
Also bring with you a list of current medications, and a release message if you have never been approved for cannabis coverage under VAC/Blue Cross.
1. Login to your myVAC account.
2. Send a secure message.
3. Under Category select "other", Send to "Veterans Affairs Canada", and under subject put "Summary of Assessment".
4. In the message write "I request a digital copy of my Summary of Assessment."
No. VAC has guidelines that the educators and practitioners must follow in order to ensure you are approved for coverage. There are some circumstances where cannabis as plant medicine might not be right for you, but we can determine that during your intake process.
You need a new Prescription once per every 12 months. If you receive special authorization for coverage above 3 grams/day, that needs to be renewed every 24 months.

Yes. We have partnered with veteran focused LP's that have veterans needs as a priority. You can split your prescription with multiple LPs to meet your personal and medical needs.
